The Program
We have found that when the young people are encouraged to CREATE ORIGINAL Arts, especially as they are doing what they love with peers, and mature teachers and artists come along, not in any top-down process, the joy of "working in what you love" is simply AMAZING and TRANSFORMATIONAL.
CREATIVITY is a gift that every human has within. Some are fortunate enough to have had their gifts fomented and fermented in an environment of encouragement-love. Others will AWAKE for their inner gift IF-WHEN they are in a place where the environment created by people they see love them, are well equiped in their gifts-talents, and they see it is all SAFE; they too will venture into creating and discover that they are NO LONGER JUST CONSUMERS but also CREATORS.
CATRiO was started as a natural and Organic progress of the programs developed by Arts & Social Transformation under the guidance and administration of Mosaic Group, a Platform for Social Actions founded by Project Brazil which was-is a mission that has the aim of "Seeking the Peace of the City."
The Programs under Arts & Social Transformation are not religious programs, even though they were founded by people who are followers of Christianity. Anyone and everyone is more than welcome to participate in the programs. Here are the list of the current programs on the Platform of Arts Social Transformation; Artes Mazi, CATRiO, ValueArts, CAPSA (in cooperation with Cal Arts), and Show on the Road.
The FoundersThe Programs of Arts & Social Transformation were started by The Guimaraes' in 2008, one year after they arrived in Brazil as part of their Mission Work with The Covenant in USA, and continued as part of The Bridge Covenant.

Fundamental through the years for the starting and continuation of Arts & Social Transformation as a platform for projects of arts, where Paul Wiseman (former Head Master of The British School), then John Nixon (Head Master since 2010 of The British School), and super champion and great partner, Anna Whyte.
